Flash Interactivity

Three things are needed to make interactivity work in Flash: an event that triggers an action, the action triggered by the event, and the target, or object, that performs the action or is affected by the event.

The Intermediate Flash workshop concentrates much more on Flash animation and movie techniques, assuming that you already have a grasp of the painting/drawing and basic animation capabilities of Flash. You'll work with the three types of symbols (graphic, movie-clip, and button), and learn to appreciate (and use to good advantage) the difference between "symbols" and "instances" (including instances created from a shared symbol library). Your skills will include creating button symbols with animated image states (e.g., for the rollover effect), as well as combining multiple movie clip symbols.

The nwtpl also introduce Flash interactivity, allowing you to add actions (including mouse events) to your Flash animations.
